Gary Claxton left big city life to relocate in the Ozarks. But he didn't leave behind his Kansas City musical roots.
His sophisticated saxophone sound quickly became a
regular attraction for tourists and other visitors to Eureka
Springs, AR, and its landmark hotels, restaurants and
lounges. He has appeared as part of the city's renowned
Jazz, Blues and May Fine Arts Festivals.

He performs regularly throughout the area and in
neighboring states for dining and dancing by the public
or for private groups and corporate gatherings - alone,
with his own bands, or as part of other ensembles of
various musical styles -- from small combos to traditional
big bands.
His performance and recording experience spans five
decades. In honor of his musical influence, he was
inducted in 1998 into the Iowa Rock 'N Roll Hall of Fame
and in 1999 into the Nebraska Music Hall of Fame.
